One-Thumb Racing Done Right
Mobile racing lives or dies on controls. Tilt steering makes me seasick, and virtual buttons feel mushy. So I was skeptical of Neon Drift Circuit's whole pitch: just hold to drift.
Turns out one input can carry a lot. The game's entire challenge comes from timing your releases through corners, reading each track so you hold the drift exactly long enough. It's closer to rhythm than racing.
The early tracks are a gentle on-ramp, but a few hours in you hit blind corners that demand real memorization. That's where it stops being casual and starts being a skill game.
It's not perfect — the unlocks don't change how you play. But as a demonstration that mobile racing doesn't need twelve buttons, it's a tidy little lesson.
